Brooklyn-based designer, Mia Hebib limits each piece in her collection to an edition of 13. Her work reflects her surroundings and fractal patterns in nature. I’m fond of the “OR1 wrapped ring,” made of sterling silver and walnut veneer (see below).

There are designers that I look at and think, how can they possibly continue to outdo themselves? I include Viktor & Rolf in my wonderment. The Dutch design-duo always has a knack for thinking outside of the box, but in their latest collection, just shown in Paris, idioms literally popped off of the collection. See below. . .

Frenchman Alain Robert — the self-professed human spiderman — has scaled yet another skyscraper without the use of safety equipment. Robert, who suffers from Vertigo and is 60% disabled due to his solo climbing, successfully climbed the Italia builiding in São Paulo, Brazil on Wednesday. At 495 feet (42 stories), it is one of the tallest buildings in the city. As 2,000 onlookers watched, Robert completed his climb and was promptly detained by police.

Fainting goats — everyone should own one! They’re miniature, which is cute, but when startled, their defense mechanism causes their muscles to tighten, and they fall over and faint! Fascinating!

They’re twins. They’re brothers. They’re Brazilian. They’re graffiti artists, and they’ve released a new book. Limited to 2500 copies, “The Flowers In This Garden Were Planted By My Grandparents” coincides with their first museum show in the Netherlands. Known for their yellow characters and elaborate murals painted in cutty spots, the brothers have traversed the globe, sharing their art, for more than 10 years. If you can score a copy of the book or catch the show, consider yourself lucky. Os Gemeos don’t disappoint.

SNL returned this past Saturday after a long hiatus due to the writer’s strike. The show was hilarious. I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard over SNL skits in a long, long time. While I wanted to post a video of my favorite short, a parody of the Brett Michael’s show, Rock of Love II, I couldn’t find a video of it. However, the video below is just as comical. Watch it!
